How did Zari Collection start?
On a whim!
Suku won a trip to India at a golf tournament and off we went with no idea that his round of golf would change our lives. On our last night, were introduced to a young Indian couple just out of design school who showed us some amazing colourful handmade silk scarves they had designed. We love bright colours so were immediately drawn to them. We spent our last rupees on 70 pieces with absolutely no idea what we would do with them back in Malaysia. “I suppose we could give them away as gifts” … so we thought!
